Question: i watched a cinderella story today and i don't get what this quote from the movie means? "never let the fear of striking out keep you from playing in the game" does anyone know what it means?

It means don't let anything stop you from being what you want to be. In that movie she let her step mom and step sisters and some guy determine what she was going to do and who she was going to be when she grew up then when she sees that quote on the wall again at the end of the movie, she decides that she's not going to let other people determine what happens in her life. So she tells her step mom and the guy off and in the end everything goes her way!!! I hope this helps....that's one of my fav movies!!

It's a baseball analogy, like don't let your embarrassment from striking out keep you from playing baseball. I can't remember the context of the quote in the movie but I think they meant don't be afraid to love someone just because it may eventually go badly.

Well it means finding something you would of thought you could never of had just like Cinderella and her evil step sister that movie but made about a real girl who never thought she could date the most popular boy in school.

Ex. You want to buy a scooter SO badly b/c you saw them in Rome and thought they were the coolest things in the world, but you're *afraid* you'll be hit/killed/fall/etc. if you get one, so you don't get one and will ultimately regret it.

? Great movie! I LOVE it! :-) As for the quote it simply means... that there is always a chance of failure but you have to go for it!
