Why don't they make biblical or western movies anymore?!
Question: Last christian movie was Passion of Christ, last western was Wild Wild West
Answers: Last christian movie was Passion of Christ, last western was Wild Wild West
Science Fiction films, which often contain a lot of action, have largely replaced Westerns since they both mostly appeal to the "action" crowd.
Biblical films I don't think are done by that many mainstream studios because they always seem to run into some kind of controversy if you don't do it according to the way this or that religious leader thinks it should be. OTOH they have become a bit of a specialized market and some religious organizations are making their own Biblical films. Check the various religious channels on your TV for details. :-)
no last western was 3 10 to yuma
Didn't you hear about 3:10 to Yuma?
And there aren't all that many biblical movies out there. You don't want to saturate the mainstream market.
there's another Moses movie coming out for children that's computer animated. i know it's not going to be as good as The Prince of Egypt.
Since there have no new contributions to the genre
it is considered dead, because of the lack of ideas.
People won't pay to see these films.
Westerns are making a comeback
Last Christian Movie was "The Nativity Story" in December 2006, last Western was "3:10 to Yuma" STILL IN THE THEATERS!
They still make them; you are just not all that observant
You know, they do make westerns, but they are usually made for TV movies or the kind that go straight to video
The Assassination of Jesse James is out right now. It's hard to find in theatres even though it's got Brad Pitt and Casey Affleck.
