What does the b stand for in b rate movies?!

Question: It doesn't stand for anything, in the golden age the studios had a-movies and b-movies, most of the effort for promotion etc. was directed towards the a-movies, and they got more production money too.

Interesting fact, if you look at the original one-sheet posters for Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid, it says 'A' after the title, because most westerns were B-pictures

BAD

Bad, b0ll0cks, bull$****...

boring or bullshit i would think.

It doesn't stand for anything, it's like a grading system. Some celebrites are "A list " celebrities. B movies are lower than par movies.

In short, it doesnt stand for anything it is simply part of a grading system, with C coming after and finally Z (worst movies).

B movies originally referred to a motion picture made on a low or modest budget and intended for distribution as the less-publicised, bottom half of a double feature - in what was known as the golden age of Holywood.

Some B Movies happen to be personal favourites of mine :)

When I was a kid, we went to the movies and there were always two films, the "B" was just a filler, we went to see the "A" movie!
