As long John sticks to the style and goodness of "In of The Mouth of Madness" style and avoids vampires and ghost of mars sucky styling, I'd think it be a wonderful film.

In the Mouth of Madness, mixed with a lot of The Thing - add a little Shawshank Redemption with The Mist and The Shining...and we're good to go!!
