IMDB summary:

The film is adapted from "The Ghost Belonged to Me" by the marvelous writer Richard Peck. I recall tracking down a copy of the novel because I liked the story so much. Also, I have the movie in my VHS collection and have watched in many times. I think it's a touching, beautifully done ghost story. I should start listing it when I make suggestions. I'll probably be digging it out for another viewing. It might give me incentive to organize my tapes.
Oh! I just checked and found that YouTube seems to have all of this film! I couldn't find the riddle she recites~yet.
I did! I found it in the IMDB trivia:
"Sleeping lies the murdered lass, vainly cries the child of glass, when the two shall be as one, the spirit's journey will be done."
