IMDB summary:
Alexander Armsworth (Steve Shaw) and his family move to an authentic antebellum mansion which once was owned by a river pirate. Alexander is drawn into a century-old mystery when he sees the ghost of a little girl (Olivia Barash), and she asks for his help in finding the "child of glass" by reciting a riddle. He has only a day or two to solve the riddle, or be haunted for the rest of his life!

The film is adapted from "The Ghost Belonged to Me" by the marvelous writer Richard Peck. I recall tracking down a copy of the novel because I liked the story so much. Also, I have the movie in my VHS collection and have watched in many times. I think it's a touching, beautifully done ghost story. I should start listing it when I make suggestions. I'll probably be digging it out for another viewing. It might give me incentive to organize my tapes.

Oh! I just checked and found that YouTube seems to have all of this film! I couldn't find the riddle she recites~yet.

I did! I found it in the IMDB trivia:
"Sleeping lies the murdered lass, vainly cries the child of glass, when the two shall be as one, the spirit's journey will be done."
