Who else thought 1408 was the best movie ever made?!
Question: It's not the best out there, but it was a refreshing change from all the gore-splattered horror films. John Cusack always manages to dissolve into character; he handled everything well even with limited dialogue. The bottom line? 1408 does well in delivering its chills and thrills by not going overboard on special effects. It is probably one of the better horror movies in the rating.

It wasn't the best. I liked it, but there was so much hype about it and I thought would be better.

But it was a good horror movie. For something not R rated that is.
I wouldn't say it was the best ever. It was definitely one of the better horror movies made in recent years. It's also been awhile since a good movie was made based on a Stephen King story.
I don't see it as the best ever made but I did enjoy it. Thought it was the best lately of Stephen King's books to go to film.
