its hitchcock greatest movies next to the birds and vertigo the camera angles are amazing exspeacial the shower scene the guy falling down the stairs and the girl discovering the mother down in the basment

The Excorsist is the scariest movie that I have ever seen also the Omen movies are good. I feel that they r so scary because they deal with the aspects of religion that people may not fully believe but possibly have hope about. Psycho is a total classic. All of Alfred Hitchcocks movies are really good - Vertigo is another of my favorites from him.

I love Hitchcock films. If you haven't watched it yet, I'd recommend his film "Vertigo". It's quite good.

I havnt seen physco but Alfred Hitchcok is awesome!!!!!!! all his films rok....try "North by Northwest"

Yeah, it's a Hitchcock classic. He had made some excellent big budget films, including some in technicolor, before Psycho. He had also made some films that are incredibly difficult to make, but were not very successful, such as "Rope" (worth seeing, but nobody's favorite).

The difficulty with Rope is that the film doesn't have any cuts. Actually it does, but you can't easily tell where they are. It's a nifty concept, but ultimately who cares? So it was a big waste of time & effort.

Then he got the idea that interesting films could be made quickly and cheaply. Psycho was his first attempt, & because it was shot in B&W, it was cheap. Great film!

More scary movies? I'd recommend "Halloween," the original with a teenage Jamie Lee Curtis, directed by John Carpenter. Carpenter's "The Thing" is not bad. Or the original "Alien" by Ridley Scott.

I love Psycho! But stay away from the remake it was HORRIABLE and boring. If you want old horror movies I suggest House On Haunted Hill, Night of the Living Dead, The Terror, The Haunting, The Blob, or Invasion of The Body Snatchers. Alot of them have remakes but I hate most of the remakes.

The movie I could never watch again was Exorcist. Truly evil. Psycho was frightening as well. The original "The Haunting" was scary (not the remake with Catherine Zeta Jones). The first "Alien" was scary. I also thought "Aliens" was incredible, even better than the first. "The Shining", very scary. Oh! And the first Invasion of the Body Snatchers! And the original Night of the Living Dead, too!
