What would you think if Hollywood came up with 'interactive' movies...re!

Question: For example, a DVD would be played in your Playstation or Xbox and would have several titled or themed options after a 20 min basic intro. You'd choose an option; then off to another 30-40 minutes of the same movie you go. Suddenly, up pops another options screen where you read some more basic titles or explanations and choose the one you think is most interesting. The movie would finally end after you've chosen a total of about 3-4 options. You'd never see the same movie twice if you didn't want to!

i thought of that same idea. its is kind of like those old books where you get to choose what happens to the character. you could do it in a dvd player. they did it with final destination 3, but it wasn't exactly what i was thinking of. they just had the character die differently.

one problem with that movie idea is the production cost. to produce a movie with all kinds of options that lead to different endings would be outrageous. you would have to charge a lot more than a regular movie. probably at least the price of the game. and it couldn't be shown in theaters. unless you have one story that you put in theaters. a few select theaters could be set up to give the audience the option of what happens, but to set that theater up would be expensive as well. you would have to pay to make new technology that takes peoples push button answer and then averages them out. it wouldn't be cost efficient for the movie theater to pay for this technology until a lot of movies start coming out like that.

you really shouldn't post good ideas on here. they will get stolen in a heart beat. in fact, you shouldn't look up good ideas on any search engine. they keep records of everything. at some point someone might see your idea and take it from you. if you have to do research on something it is best to old school it in the library. i know i sound like the crazy guy that thinks people are watching him, but it isn't that far fetched this day in age. i think of all kinds of great ideas and they are always coming out a couple years later. i swear on my moms life that i came up with the whole chuck and larry movie a year and a half before i had even heard about it. i wouldn't have called it chuck and larry, and it wasn't about firefighters. but it had the exact same premise and story. just different character with different occupations. wow i do sound crazy sometimes. oh well. i guess when you come up with a bunch of ideas all of the time you are bound to have a few done(stolen) before you have the chance.

reminds me of those r.l stine books

that would be cool =D
they have books like that
like what would you do? and whatever you would do it tells you a page to turn to.
i really like that idea of having movies like that
