Has there ever been a movie made without music?!

Question: Has there?

Answers: Has there?

Dracula (1931) (I think a selection from "Swan Lake" is played a couple of times; this could be true of "Frankenstein" also, but I haven't seen either for a number of years.)
Frankenstein (1931)
The Mummy (1932) (I think a number of Universal films had no score but might have used bits of classical sprinkled throughout. I can find no composer listed for these films, as well as the original "The Invisible Man".)
Counselor at Law (1933)
The Petrified Forest (1936)
Angels with Dirty Faces (1938)
The Tall Target (1951)
Executive Suite (1953)
Mogambo (1953)
Forbidden Planet (1956) (See NOTE below.)
12 Angry Men (1957)
The Birds (1961) (See NOTE below.)
The Narrow Margin (1962)
Fail-Safe (1964)
The Hill (1965)
Marooned (1969)
The Offense (1973)
A Woman Under the Influence (1974)
Dog Day Afternoon (1975)
Network (1976)
Eraserhead (1977)

Some of the films have music during the title sequence or closing credits; sometimes a character will sing.

NOTE: "The Birds" is considered to have an electronic score, so it's iffy whether that's a yes or no. I suppose it isn't music as we're accustomed to hearing it, but it's not like "Forbidden Planet", which also has an electronic score. But, is it melodic?

IM GUESSING THE SILENT FILMS MADE WY BACK IN THE DAY!!

Jeez, I doubt it, they go together hand in hand. The only thing I can think of is a documentary with alot of talking and not much silence that the music would sort of fill in. Yea, thats all I got.

of course there has.

Back in the day when technology was barely visible. The silent fllms did have have piano and other music. But, some didn't. You have to search those old movies. That's what the first person was trying to say.

If your talking about contemporary movies, then that would be rare. There probably has been one and its probably a documentary. That would be rare though for a contemporary one. As for back in the early 20th century, there were tons of those.

All Quiet on the Western Front.

As quoted from IMDB...

Lewis Milestone deliberately made the film without music so as not to take away from the seriousness of the subject. Much to his chagrin, however, some movie theaters added music in of their own choosing, as they weren't used to having films delivered to them without any form of background scoring.

There definitly has been movies made with out music...

but a favorite long scene in a movie with no music, and hardly any other sound is the heist scene in the movie Rififi...the scene last for 30 minutes and there's hardly a sound, let alone music. it is very unique.

Hitchcock's "The Birds" has no film score at all. Although there is a scene with some schoolkids singing a song acapella.
