Dark Shadows\ Johnny Depp remake?!
Question: my brother informed me tonite that Johnny Depp and Tim Burton have bought the rights to remake a Dark Shadows movie with Depp as Barnabas Collins. How cool is this? who else thinks this is going to be great? you young ones out there who have no idea what we are talking about,please save your comments to yourself, this would definitely be an over 40 question

Great combo Dark Shadows was awesome
He would totally suck as Barnabas Collins. He's too --- greasy -- plus his Jack Sparrow would be just under the surface and completely ruin the character of the conflicted vampire looking for a cure.
I LOVED Dark Shadows as kid and remember running home from school to watch it. Depp will destroy a happy memory.

According to wikipedia, Depp and Warner Bros. Studios are collaborating to PRODUCE a Dark Shadows film. I didn't see anything about him playing Barnabas (or any character). However, depending on how he does as Sweeny Todd, he might not be horrible at playing Barnabas.
And I'm well under 40 and know of (and love) this show, thanks to my mother and the Sci Fi channel. ;)
