Help with a movie, it's really bugging me!?!
Question: I only caught a few scenes from it--a white middle class teenage girl who somehow ended up a crack wh*** lying in a room alone hardly knowing what's going on, then her father somehow finds out where she is and comes to rescue her...that is ALL I saw! What's this movie and when was it made? Anyone?

Could it be Traffic? Made in 2000
Dad was Michael Douglas, girl was Erika Christensen.
Is it an older or new film? It sounds like a scene from an older film with George C. Scott, in which he has to track down his runaway daughter. But, that's from some time back. Without more of a description, this might be extra-tough to identify.
I doubt that this is the one, but it's the same subject matter: "Hardcore" (1979).

This is a very gritty, fierce movie, even after all of these years, perhaps because of director/writer Paul Schrader who is noted for his split nature~Calvinist vs. someone a world away from that. The majority of his films are sledgehammer approaches to the subject, whether its horror ("Cat People") or streetlife ("Taxi Driver").
And, this might not be the movie you're looking for. This is the only one that came to mind.
Traffic? I think it has Michael Douglas. I don't know who plays his daughter. I saw this a long time ago.
Pretty sure you are thinking of Traffic. I didn't really like it.
The movie is Traffic and Micheal Douglas snatches her boyfriend out of school to search for her. The drug dealer in the movie threatens and nearly kills him. He offers the drug dealer a thousand dollars to tell him where his daughter is and he finds her tricking with a man. He breaks down into tears. She was really messed up in the movie!
