I have never had a problem with Netflix. My movies arrive quickly and nothing has been lost. I have received 2 that were broken during shipping and they sent me a new one right away. You can also get the new releases.

um...... i hav netflix and its working out for me. thats my answer.

join blockbuster.com they are awesome and you can return them right to the movie store too. i am telling you it is tons better than netflix i have done both.

Yeah you will have to pay for the movie if lost when sending it back, i got a blank cd, and return it and i had to pay for it, most new releases are for rent, if you get a scratched dvd, they replace it, no you dont pay. they do have a good service.

There won't be any problems with errors or a lost DVD, they are pretty good at that. The new movies are rentable but they won't send you them. They will encourage you to build a rental list saying it would be best to have more movies on your list for better service. When you do that you will add older titles (to bring the ''number'' up). At that point they will begin to send you those older titles saying that the newer ones (you really wanted in the first place) will be shipped as soon as it is possible. I joined Netflix when they began. They started doing this and after 2 years (and hundreds of complaint etc.) told them to ''stick it''. The process I outlined above eventually got a name, it's called ''Throttling''. They were sued in a class action of which I was part of. The settlement was three months free service, I told them to ''stick that'' as well. I don't know where you live but check this out:

See if there's one near you. It's O.K., they just don't have the selection.

I have block buster and you will never have that problem becasue you can take it right back to the store and get new ones at the store. Plus you get the free ones sent to you in the mail while you have the ones from the store. So you are never with out a movie. I have done both and BlockBuster is the way to go I would say.

That's the plan I have and everthing works out real well. I really think I need to get a plan with less movies. I get a movie in two days from them . Send it back takes a day. So about a three days turn around. Might be faster for you. I live out in nowhere. If I tried I could probally get 25 a month. New and old releases. I have had no trouble. I have done this for 6 months.

I am a member of NetFlix and Blockbuster. Here are some items of interest:

NetFlix is sent to your home with paid postage for no additional cost. NetFlix will not penalize you if you have a lost movie, unless this becomes your standard practice. They realize that things happen with mail on occasion. You can go online and tell them you sent the movie back or didn't receive a movie and they will resend the movie. They will also resend a movie without it being returned if you receive it damage. There is an area to report problems with shipping/receiving/returning movies. They will only send movies once you return your designated number. I am up to 5 movies at a time and have been a member for over a year. NetFlix lets you have more movies out than Blockbuster

Blockbuster - pretty much the same as NetFlix with the exception of being able to return movies in store for them to mail back and receiving additional movies while you wait for them to mail more. Depending on membership, you can only have three movies at a time and may have a limitation on the amount of movies you can trade in store when returning the shipped movies. I have been with Blockbuster almost a year now and have had no problems. In addition, on a monthly basis, they send you a voucher for an additional movie or game.

Hope this helps you put your worries aside...good luck and good renting!!:)

if the movie gets lost in the mail, no u dont have to pay for it. just report it lost, u cant do it over and over, dont plan on purposely keeping the movies. its a good deal, i have it and love it. all movies are rentable. i have no problems with it. i love it. its so cheaper than goign to the video store

Netflix is the way to go. Your question has really already been answered by Matarc (Side subject…I am Hungarian: are you Matte Face?), who's answer should be chosen as "best", but I would like to add:

Netflix has shown themselves to be a really stand-up operation....while on the other hand, Blockbuster is an evil corporation that similar to Wal-Mart (who is responsible for so many low paying jobs as well as strong arming so many businesses to move their production facilities to third and second world countries)...Here is my experience with them: I used to rent movies from them years ago on a fairly regular basis (I was a member for some years at that time). Sometimes I wouldn't be able to get the movies back to them before the late fees began to accumulate, but that was not a big deal as I would just pay it the next time that I went in...until I ran into a situation where, after returning the movies in the drop-box, I had to go out of state to take care of some family problems. When I returned they had some collection agency trying to get me to pay the 4 or 5 dollar late fee that I had outstanding...My feelings on that is they went wrong in not looking at my personal history with them. They would have seen I had some late charges before and always paid them up...not to mention that they got the movies...they could have simply put my account on hold until it was paid...So...(after going in and paying my late fees) I didn't go back for several years until a situation arose where I was talked into using my membership again...after getting over my initial resistance to the whole thing, I got back into renting a movie from them on occasion. Which was good and fine until they did it to me again under the same circumstances...Since then I have joined Netflix and will never go back to Blockbuster...That may be just me, but I have morals:).

Whatever you end up doing, don't let a large company mess you around...We the people still have the power, if only we stick to what is right...that is the correctness of the capitalistic society that we live in.
