Why do people make a big deal about Dumbledore being gay?!
Question: It's always adults that have to spoil everything. The fact that he is gay was never mentioned in the books or movies. Kids could care less. Many kids probably don't even know what gay means.

They care because grown ups don't understand that stuff like that doesn't matter. It really doesn't. But now that something is different than THEY expected they need to destroy this beautiful magical bubble which we all have been gazing into with politics and absurdity.
Dumbledore was wonderful, Harry Potter was wonderful, I could care less if anybody in those books was gay because it really didn't change the story.
Parents are lame, grown ups suck, everybody needs to step back and say "so what?" And love the story for what it is.
You would think that reading 7 books about tolerance and love triumphing all would make a difference. Unfortunately, reality is different.

I totally agree with you. What difference does it make, its not like he is real. Some people are just plain ignorant!! Its not going to change the books or the movies, especially since it was never really mentioned. You are right, most kids could care less and some dont know what gay is.
It is like when Daniel Radcliffe did that play with the nude scene, people were mad at that. Did they forget he did a half nude scene in The Goblet of Fire while in the bathtub?
People forget they are just the characters they play, they are not them in real life and what they do in their own lives is no ones business and it doesnt affect them.
He is not real, but nonetheless...parents are concerned that they have let their children read books with (a) gay character(s).
Due to the internet, most kids should know what "gay" means.
But the media is overblowing the whole thing.
