The Hills Have Eyes question?!

Question: I normally like psychological horror like 1408, Rosemary's Baby, The Omen, Disturbia. I am usually left cold by movie like House of Wax, My Bloody Valentine, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I thought it would be safe to see but it really got to me. Why did this gory horrorfest get to me like no other ones have? I am guessing that it set me up to actually care about the characters? I suffer from panic attacks and didn't want to go anywhere for hours after this one.

i liked it but the movie really botherd me too. for me i think it was the sister getting shot in the head

maybe it's because..... the acting is pretty good.. or maybe you are most afraid of something that happened in a scene. and you think it might happen to you.... too much suspence....

The rape scene, forcing the older sister to allow one of the men to breastfeed from her, and killing of the dog all got to me because the way they were filmed/acted somehow made them more realistic and disturbing (well, the dog part not so much, but I just hate seeing an animal hurt/killed).

It's because you think that this could happen in real life, some movies like The Exorcist. The Omen, The Texas C.M., Saw etc. It also happens to me, especially when i watched the Omen {Remake} i really thought it was the end of the world.
The other thing, that's why its called Psychological Thriller/Horror/Suspense. My advice is that you always pray so that will never happen again.

that movie is not really scare come on but the first hills is way better than the second.

It wasn't the horror fest it was the rape scene, i don't know a single women that can stand to watch a rapping scene, and i as well as others think that that movie went a lil 2 far on several counts.

its was probably the rape scene, ugh when i seen that i literally felt sick to my stomach, and the breast feeding scene, ugh still makes me sick thinkin about it
