Yeah, my mom told me about this movie. I am definitly NOT going to see it. I'm going to give you a star for putting this up on YA (not sure if you like stars, but you deserve it for your good deed). God Bless and hopefully this movie will sink right to the bottom in the box office!

How do you kill God?

Its no doubt that secular, atheist Follywood is waging war against Christians, we can overpower them by simply avoiding those kinds of movies and spreading the word. Most movies today, unfortunately, are bigotted leftist, agenda driven, repulsive exploits of Follywood "intelligensia" seeking to indoctrinate and inculcate their beliefs. I am tired and sick of Follywoods garbage!

Yet a movie like Brokeback is highly acclaimed, Passion of the Christ is disdained. This smut will only exasperate. Let Follywood kill themselves off.

Thats just sick! thanks 4 posting

every ones entitled to their own beliefs....

Thanks for the warning! I will be sure to avoid this movie.

How is this story so dangerous?
IMDB summary:
"Lyra Belaqua, living in Oxford's Jordan College, is not but a young girl living among scholars. Her world may seem diverse, from physical embodiments of souls that take the shape of an animal, but similar with people around you to become friends and enemies. She is thrown into a perilous adventure when she overhears a conversation of an extraordinary microscopic particle, Dust. This particle is said to unite different worlds, and is feared by many who want to destroy it forever. As Lyra is flung into the middle of this horrible struggle, she meets wondrous creatures both big and small, and villains who are not what they seem. Gobblers, that kidnap children, will turn out in the most unexpected places. And a magical compass of gold that will answer any question if one is skilled enough to read it. Lyra's adventure continues throughout these three books, and the first is about to be told."

It sounds like another fantasy film to me. So, why are you so distressed about it? There have been dozens of fantasy films. Why is this different? I'm very confused by what you have to say.

This is from a novel. Why didn't anyone protest the novel? At least, I've never heard of that being done.

As one poster asked: How do you kill God? Christians shouldn't believe that God could be killed. Are you sure you heard correctly about this film? You see, in my many years as a film fan, I have seen people get hysterical over various films, including "Rosemary's Baby" (from a best-selling novel), "The Last Temptation of Christ" (also from a novel), and a number of others. Yet, no one fussed about "The Devil's Advocate" or even "The Final Conflict" (the third Omen film). So, why is a fantasy film upsetting you?

It was a brilliant book and will no doubt be turned to slush by Hollywood. But I will still go to see it and I went to see Christian propaganda film Narnia too... Although I dont get the Christian part of that story... But anyway...

My point is censorship is wrong and you should not be threatened by a film.

And brain washing children is wrong too but this fictional story wont do that unlike your "protection"

You are why I hate religion. So what if "God dies" in the movie, children should be shown both sides of the spectrum if they are to choose what they believe in. Should atheists ban the Bible for saying god is in it? Not everyone is religious, and no one should be as close minded as you.

I agree this is totally worthless garbage im sending it to all my friends by E-mail, myspace any way possible!

Thanks. I am telling everyone I know...

I hope their movies tank

I just want to say that Passion was not disdained in any way. It was a very highly grossing movie and was critically acclaimed. Just thought I'd get that out there. I don't know why someone would think that it was "disdained". I never knew that His Dark Materials series was about killing God. I had always just heard that it was a pretty great sci-fi/fantasy series. I was actually going to start reading it to see if I should recommend it to kids at my book store. I think I will still read it to see what it's all about though. As far as the movie goes, just don't go see it if you're against it. Not a big deal. I really don't think anybody will renounce their faith after seeing this movie.

That's a movie that isn't welcome in my house. Thanks for the warning!

thanks for the warning

You are right! If any film go against Christian beliefs, Christians should avoid seeing it. I am not surprised at all that these types of Anti Christian films are coming out because it seems nowadays, some people are only concerned about being heard, and not the impact their actions have on others. I know some Atheists that say the same about some Christians but in reality, there should be more communicating and less attacking one another.

dats cool stuff man
