It is one of my favourite films. The cast were all excellent and worked really well together (seems like they must have had a good time filming). The stories of each of the characters were really good. It was the first time I had seen Steve Carrell in a basically serious role and he can do that as well as comedy. Even the bus was a bit like a character in the film the way it was tempremental. I wouldn't have thought it was that inappropriate for a 15 year old to see. The family come across as a bit disfunctional at the start, but pull together pretty well. From an outside view, if that is what the pageant world is really like, it seems a bit scary. I would rate it 4.5-5 out of 5. Good question.

it was ok, kinda weird though. very dark humor.

omg it was brilliant, so funny and the little girl stripping had me in knots haha

I liked it because she saw the possibility and in the end had fun with the reality.

i thought it was kind of overrated but decent. my favorite scene was when olive was performing her "dance" for the beauty pageant audience. classic. all in all i'd give it a 7. it seemed like it was trying a bit too hard to be edgy (which is true of many sundance films)

One of my all-time favorites. Really a great movie- great plot, great soundtrack, great actors, great cinematography. Two thumbs WAY up.

i loved it, my mom thought it was inappropriate cuz im way too young to have seen

I really loved it because everyone moved to resolution for themselves. I loved ht innocence of the child and how it was set against the sexualisation of the other children who were 'normal' yes the final scene at the competition made me want to get up and dance in the aisles with her too! Yes! Great film very human.

I liked it because it was different and unusual. I thought Alan Arkin's character swore too much.

Getting his body out of the hospital was LMAO funny. I'd give it 4 stars, out of 5.

loved it, the little girl was great but that kid who played the brother knocked it out of the park. I even liked Carell for the first time.
