Please help identify movie... I have a title with no luck...?!
Question: I am a U.S. soldier currently in Iraq. I am trying to identify a movie that I was able to watch 15 minutes of while in one of the local shops on post. The show was in English and looked to be American made, but I am not sure. I have tried the IMDB website with no luck... Also, it was not an AFN channel. This shop gets channels in English by satellite.
The only thing that I know about the movie was that during the commercial it said "we now we return to "The Kid"... This was not the Bruce Willis / Disney version... The two scenes that stand out are one where "the kid" helps save this girl's dog from two boys who tied it up to train tracks until "the kid" shows up and pins one of the boys to the tracks with a stick until the other unties the dog. The other scene is where he handcuffs a rural store owner up and sprays poison (roach killer?) onto a tennis ball and places it in his mouth.
"The Kid" seems like he is out to right wrongs... It takes place in a small town and is in color.

There was a movie 'Kid' starring C. Thomas Howell as a kid come back to town for revenge against the townies that killed his parents 10 years ago. R. Lee Emery (best known as the D.I. from Full Metal Jacket) and Brian Austin Green are in it...those faces ring any bells?
well if it said "we now return to the kid" then it makes sense that the movie is called "the kid"...
Any chance its The Karate Kid?
I couldn't find either of those scenes but there is a movie called simply "kid" which may be what you are talking about although Don't think the movie is that much about a kid trying to right wrongs from what I could tell. As far as the movie, this may be a long shot, but could it be a movie titled "Kid" (without a the in front of it)? It's from 1991 and stars C. Thomas Howell who returns to a small town to get revenge for his parents murder.
