I did not see the movie but the book by Stephen King was weird with some scary parts like all his books - i loved The Green Mile
I thought it was a bit weak the first time I watched it, but I liked it better the second viewing. I love Al Pacino, so I'll watch anything with him in it, but I think Robin Williams was a great villain. The ending was good, I don't want to spoil it for anyone, but him saying what he did to Hillary Swank was a good touch, I thought. I'm hoping you're referring to this movie anyway, cos one of the other answers made no sense to me!
PS this movie is based on a German film of the same name
I really liked it! Robin Williams as the bad guy was surprisingly awesome. There were parts that did drag, but for the most part, I liked it.
The original 1997 Norwegian (not German) movie, on which the 2002 Al Pacino version was based, is one of my favorite movies. I thought it was a great thriller, showing the gradual deterioration of the main character (police detective Engstrom) over time as he deals with his guilt and sleeplessness after accidentally killing his partner.
Some of the best scenes are those between Engstrom and the killer of the girl whose murder Engstrom is investigating. They each know that the other has killed someone, and they conspire to keep their respective secrets.
