Any suggestions for a good horror movie?!
Question: I love horror movies, but I rarely get scared. The only one that really actually got me to jump was The Messegers. I've seen The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (both versions), the Exorcist, uhm...Silent Hill (one of my faves, but not at all scary), lets put it this way: ive seen a lot. So I'm wondering: can someone tell me a movie that will honestly truly SCARE me?

Lol. The only one that really scared me was a movie called dolls - that was coz the doll was in the middle of murdering someone and my mate threw a doll at my head :P

Ghost ship is an awesome movie, not scary but really kool opening scene!
Boo (sounds pathetic) but little dead girl in hospital wich is (supposedly) based on truth is a lil creepy.
Death Tunnel is another hospital one but the ending is crap as!
Ravenous couldnt have been too good coz i dont remember it...
House of wax is kool coz Paris Hilton get killed....
Dagon is scary... Gory and a lil disturbing!
Cry Wolf is good if you like mess-with-your-mind horror
Disturbia is ok, the bad guy does a really good job at creeping you out
Umm the grudge movies are ok if u can get over the chick from Buffy *gags*
It would be so helpful if i knew what movies you had seen, we could switch horrors :P

Texas Chainsaw Massacare (2004)
I used to absolutely love horror movies, until directors started bringing out the real gorey stuff. My stomach can't handle surgeries on TV, let alone, gruesome scenes in the cinema. So I end up cringing throughout the movie lol. I'm beginning to dislike the genre because it seems like every horror movie is just focused on gutsing out people now.
Read this article. It will name some films and might wake up some people who think that gore is everything and that this "horror porn" will satisfy the need to be frightened. You're welcome to these travesties. I've taken a personal oath not to watch these creations. I don't want this in my mind.

Dagon~I agree with this one, as I am a fan of Cthulhu Mythos stories, and this is one that seems to try to capture the spirit of H.P. Lovecraft's writings.
The Gate (weak sequel)
Trick or Treat (1986)
Try another sort of horror film for a while. Take a break from dismemberment and mutilation, and watch other movies.
