No, in the Lord of the Rings its Aragorn and they're pronounced different too; but the author of Eragon copied so many things from Tolkien its unbelievable
No. The movie Eragon is based on a book by the same title. it has nothing to do with Aragorn from LOTR. The movie is not worth seeing, it was a piece of Hollywood crap. However, the book is definately worth reading along with it's sequel "The Eldest".
