I bought a dvd off ebay..?!
Question: Hey Guys..
So I bought a DVD on Ebay, and when I went to go watch it,
it said (( error reading, out of region )) the person i purchased it from is from
Astralia,
Can anyone tell me what i can do.. I really want to watch it!

Firstly, you are not out of luck.
When you buy DVD's off ebay remember to get the region number specific to your area (mine is 2, if you live in the USA it will be region 1.
To play it you can either purchase a cheap dvd player that is multi region (plays any)
or
You can de regionalise the player you have at the moment, in which case you would search the model number on the internet and hopefully it would return some codes for it which you could input into the player.
or finally,
What I do usually do is just copy the dvd in my computer and simply make the copy region free so it will play in any dvd player. (I use dvd shrink to back it up on the computer - selecting region free there). And then i burn it to a disc using Nero.

you will prolly need to buy a region free dvd player or change the option on your current dvd player...find your owners manual and read it
you are probably out of luck. unless your dvd player is really good and new you are either going to have to buy a new dvd player that can play any region or a cheaper option would probably be just to buy a region1 dvd (next time make sure it is a region 1) check with the person you bought it from and see if you can return it or exchange it for the right dvd
You should have known that it won't work.
You can only watch DVD's from YOUR region.
It was your mistake not whomever you bought it from.
Yep you need a region free DVD player to play that one.
Every country has a region number and only works on with a DVD player of that region or a region free player (check Best Buy if you want to buy one).
Next time you buy DVDs on eBay make shore that the DVD is region 1 (USA & Canada).
Don't buy anthing that does not come from USA & Canada.
By the way watch out for bootleg DVDs on there to. Some times they flat out just don't work.
