I generally like the older ones, but not necessarily the popular ones. so you should find something new to you in here.

Lol try "the House on Haunted Hill", gave me the grues at least.....
Further back try and find the John Carpenter version of "The Thing", the scene with the Dogs has never been beaten in my book.
Look into Japanese horror films. They are alot better than American horror movies because the plots are more developed and the effects are better as well.

The Thai film 'The Eye', a good few jumps in there.
'The Hills Have Eyes 1/2' Get both of them and watch them one after another. A bit over-rated though.
'Hoboken Hollow', that's one of the freakiest films I have ever seen.

Actually, I just saw one that came out last month straight to DVD and I was pleasantly suprised to find that it was a pretty good movie. It's called "Flight of the Living Dead."
I know, I know...zombies on a plane...what will they think of next, right? That's what I thought too, but the zombies were really good and while parts of the movie were really predictable, others DID manage to make me jump. I jumped twice.
It was a decent script and the actors were pretty good too.
So, Flight of the Living dead is a 2-jump movie. You should check it out.
Pan's Labrynth, and if you like those really corny ones then Underworld.
Constantine with Keanu Reeves. The first scene makes me just EVERYTIME....I have seen it like 5 times and I always jump.
I wouldnt call it a horror film but it is very good if you like good vs evil and that sort of thing.
