In the movie Pleasantville...?!

Question: what was the climax of the movie?
and what was the resolution of the movie's main conflict?

Answers: what was the climax of the movie?
and what was the resolution of the movie's main conflict?

The climax I believe was when everyone started changing colors and accepting the fact that they were people who could have feelings and emotions that aren't so "Pleasant"

The resolution is that everyone stood up for how they were feeling and acting and decided to live in their color.

basically the 50's was better than the 90's.

I think it was the black and white feature.
I really didn't enjoy that movie too much but, the resolution did make it interesting.
:)

The main climax...was...I guess, the "peace" of pleasentville was going away. people were turning colors.

and the main conflict was the town not being okay with it and being "racist" agiesnt the "colored" people.

The movie was thick with lessons and moral tales. Actually it was one of the thing people seemed to complain about it the most.
The main conflict I saw in the Movie was the idea of perfection. People always seem to say that they wished that they lived in a perfect world. But in a perfect world people are never challenged to be or do better. In the movie several characters do things or behave in a certain matter that not everyone agrees with initially. I suppose the climax of the movies is when the last few hold outs (black and white people), realize that their dissatisfaction(anger) with an imperfect world makes them human, just like everyone else.

The climax In my opinion is the scene in the courthouse towards the very end when the mayor AND the father both go into color, showing that it is not an "UNpleasant" situation.

The resolution is that people are able to accept change, no matter how hard they try not to stay in the same world forever. I think it also represents current events in humanity that are split into the black and white category and the color category so that the viewer can maybe somehow accept things they have not before like gay marriage or rascism...
