ISLAND OF TERROR (1966/1967 USA release)
starring Peter Cushing
IMDB summary:
"A small island community is overrun with creeping, blobbish, tentacled monsters which liquefy and digest the bones from living creatures. The community struggles to fight back."
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001088/

This is the link to Wikipedia's site for the film, which has a full synopsis I believe:

Maybe this will help:
Christopher Lee is tall, dark and handsome. He's Count Dooku in "Star Wars" 1-3. He played Dracula a number of times, with Cushing as Van Helsing. (The two were close friends.)
Peter Cushing is shorter and gaunt-looking, rather frail. He's Grand Moff Tarkin in "Star Wars IV: A New Hope". As mentioned above, he portrayed Dr. Van Helsing in a number of films, as well as Dr. Frakenstein, with Lee playing The Monster the first time, if I recall correctly.
