Answers: Cuz on the trailers it looks like CGI but a few months ago they showed it non CGI.

Beowulf and was made using a special technique of digitally enhanced live action (utilizing, among other technologies, an advanced form of motion capture). The film is directed by Robert Zemekis and will the same type of technology and look of his previous enhanced live action film, The Polar Express.

Beowulf was announced to be projected in 3-D in over a thousand theaters for its release date in November 2007. The studios planned to use 3-D projection technology on a larger scale than previous films. Beowulf would additionally be released in 35mm alongside the 3-D projections.

It's digitally enhanced live action. So, it'll all look like the actors are done in CGI-esque style, using a variety of techniques.
