Why doesn't michael myers kill the clown in haloween resurrection?!

Well he does not kill him as Michael see's that he is into murder by the stuff he has all over the walls.He could possibly be a murderer in the future this is why he does not kill him.Also this clown guy is the perfect scapegoat to cover Michael Myers return and the death of Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis).
