2. Star Wars - Created it all
3. Independence Day - Just pure fun
4. Star Trek: First Contact - The best of the Star Trek movies by far
5. Blade Runner - At least the original, not sure about the new cuts yet
6. T2 - Kick-started the CGI industry
7. Matrix - Only the first. The series didn't live up to the promise of this masterpiece
8. Ice Pirates - Funniest space movie ever
9. Serenity - A great twist on two American movie genres - the Wild West and Space
10. Back to the Future - I know its a stretch, but a great movie with great sci-fi questions.
Honorable Mention - the Original Planet of the Apes, Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan, The Abyss, Jurassic Park, Armageddon and I Robot

Honorable Mention goes to "Contact" - a perfect film up until the last 10 minutes...so I can't put it in the top ten, but the first hour and half was brilliant!!

2. Dark Star: A very profound subplot to this low budget flick.
3. Forbidden Planet: This still is a very advanced movie
4. Alien: A great cutting edge scary sci fi flick
5. Screamers: Intense sci fi war movie
6. Star Ship Troopers: Overall an excellent sci fi war movie.
7. Blade Runner: Another profound sci fi movie.
8. First Men in the Moon: Entertaining with an original premise.
9. Invaders From Mars: This will actually scare kids.
10. War of the Worlds (1953): Still a better movie and plot.
