The movie was called VANISHING POINT. It was released in the early 70's. It starred Barry Newman (driver) and Cleavon Little (blind D.J.). The main star of the movie was really the car, a muscled up white DodgeChallenger. On a bet he was to deliver the car across country in a certain amount of time. To stay awake and on edge, he was constantly popping uppers and in the end, when he knew he was finally caught, had nothing left to live for, he deliberatly drove straight into a pair of bulldozers. Great flick then and now. Thanks for the memories!
