Why are there so many ''Remakes'' of Classic Horror Movies???!
Question: I just found out 2 of my fav horror movies are going to be remade in 2008. Why do they remake classic horror movies? Cant they think of any new ideas? Why mess up the originals by doing this?

that's just it. no they can not think of new ideas. and they think that they can do a better job now that special effects have advanced. they think that bloodier is better.

You hit it exactly. Hollywood producers can't come up with new ideas, so they re-make old movies, taking out the writing & acting, replacing them with $50 million in computer-generated effects.
same reason that people answer questions that already have good answers.

because they realize their sad idea has no point and decide to remake something and put in shiny lights so people with think it was a amazing film what 2 of your fav movies are being remade
because there is no more new ideas so they are remaking the older ideas
