There's a real reason for this no one has posted yet. It has to do with a technical process which is meant to "optimize" the film to fit into smaller slots. I believe they sneak this into many films that goto DVD. It's called "time compression" and it involves these things, used on amazon.com to describe the process on another DVD series:
""Time Compressed" is when they digitally edit out several minutes of a program so that they have more time for commercials. What's left after the editing is then digitally "compressed" together. These episodes should run approximately 50 minutes, but on these edited dvd's they run about 46 minutes. That means there's over 50 minutes of missing footage in this set!! Tell-tale signs of a time compressed show are:
The action moves a little faster (moving vehicles will sometimes skip instead of rolling smoothly)
The actors voices are higher pitched
The music is "choppy" (try singing while lightly karate chopping your throat--this is what it sounds like to me) "

They remove a few of the 24 frames per second in this process, digitally, because they can these days, and it is supposedly not noticeable to the naked eye. It's a commerical expedient that tells you the DVD producers want your money, but do not care about you otherwise... and they wonder why people pirate things so much...

because youve already seen them, buy personally for me a movie at the theaters is much quicker than dvd, cuz i havent seen it yet

You've already seen it so you know what's going to happen, plus if you're watching on the television there's commercials!

if you've already seen the movie its gonna seem faster because you know the outcome. you're not try to keep up with the story, you're just watching it. also, if you're at home you're more comfortable.

because you dont have to worry about as many previews. In the movies you wait in anticipation and while you sit there you have to sit through sets of previews from the theater and the some from the producers. When you are in front of your own tv you can skip by all that or even wut tha new dvd's have now is that it is optional to even watch them.Just a litle help
