How would you rate the gore factor of Apocalypto?!
Question: I've heard that it's a good movie and I would like to see it at some point. But how graphic is it? I don't have a huge problem with blood and guts but there are some things best left to imagination and Mel Gibson does have a penchant for gorefests. Is it worth watching despite all that?

Some brutal scenes in this flick...absolutely. Loved the protagonist and was definately rooting for him! I think it was a fascinating depiction of Mayan culture and is worth seeing. Sort of like Kingdom of Heaven--some parts make you wince but I've watched it 10 times!

Yes, it is very graphic, but in a realistic way to the events and circumstances the characters are in.

the human gore wasn't quite as bad as everyone makes it out to be, and all the animal gore was very fake looking. I've seen a lot worse. Nothing made me cringe. It is worth watching. It is a very interesting film.
its actually not that gory.........its more like a realistic type of gore....you know, the blood and guts arent exaggerated like in horror movies....its a good movie....the only thing is that theyre are plenty of dead bodies.....
It's not really that gory. The movie itself is a very accurate representation of the culture at that time. What gore there is just makes the scenes realistic and isn't an attempt to shock the audience.
not nearly as gory as "The Passion of Christ".
Pretty gory. But if you don't see it you will really be missing out. Outstanding film.
