Its these Hollywood bastards that are destroying movies!!

People in Hollywood are greedy. If the movie will put 5$ in their pocket, they will make it as fast as they can, with no care about the actors, script or how low the budget is.

Back in the day the people who made the movies actually cared what they were doing, today they have been corrupted by greed making them only worry about money not their films.

Because the latest generation of writers and producers mostly grew up not having to use their imaginations, having everything already made up for them and in detail in all of the video games and such. All they really know how to do now is to rehash what has come before.

Because, on the OLD times, writers are being more creative so their movies will be known. But today, it's easy because of our new technology. Another thing, because almost all of the good movies are done on the OLD times, you know in the 50's-80's.

No good ideas left . Too many movies have been made and the remakes , not half as good .

I agree. It feels as if the films have been "dumbed down" over time. Best example is the "Three Musketeers." The first movie came out in the 30s and every decade, a new version was made and in each new version, something essential about the plot was cut out until we ended up with the 90s version that didn't even have a plot anymore. If you ever get the chance, watch these versions and you'll see what I'm talking about.

I think the reason has to do with the "make a quick buck" culture that really has no interest in film as an art form, but in maximizing revenue from theater tickets and DVD sales. I also think film has deteriorated to a commodity, not something that's supposed to endure or to tell a story. Quick consumption (like fast food) and on to the next project. Produced is what sells based on demographics. Ergo, no critical films, no specialised films and no documentaries anymore. Producers who want to make critical films have a hard time financing their projects. Large corps like Sony won't fund those because the return on investment isn't sufficiently large.
The media who promote this garbage that passes for film these days are to blame as well. Next time you watch TV, you'll notice some anchor saying: X movie grossed Y million dollars. No mention of the quality of the film.
Long story short, it's a bit of a vicious cycle. We are presented with garbage and yet we watch it, ergo we get more garbage and we watch it again, etc.

because hollywood is beying invaded by teen-rock-this-world kinda guys!!
what do you expect!

ppl want action and they give them action but the loose the whole point of enjoying movies which is drama and comedy!!
^^

They can only get better, once the kiddies starting getting a clue, and you get help with your grammer.
