I think you're talking about American Psycho. Patrick Bateman (Bale's Character) kills an awful lot of people...including a number of hookers! He didn't play "brothers" as such...more like he had an "alter-ego"!
I don't remember much about the movie...but I remember there were some substantial differences compared to the book...which is a great read if you like pulpy, noir novels.
