Movies. What is the most dramatic / memorable scene in a film?!

Question: I just watched 'A Few Good Men' and the scene at the end with Jack Nicholson in the courtroom was one of the best scenes in a film that I've ever seen.

It's the one with "you want the truth? You can't handle the truth!!"

So - which scene in a film has had a big impact for you? How did it affect the film?

The beach landing at the beginning of Saving Private Ryan.

You haven't been introduced to any of the characters yet, so when people start getting randomly maimed and killed, it gives the least sentimental view of the brutality of war.

Horrific but memorable. Shame that the end of the film couldn't match it.

ET

The moment when the boys on the bikes were being chased and took off into the sky with ET in the basket on the front.........

George Bailey running back into bedford falls and the closing scene where all his friends gather round. has to be the best ending of any film; cynics might say a little wishy washy but I defy anyone to keep a dry eye. Anyone who enjoyed this movie should check out Mr Holland;'s opus

Back to the future.
When Doc gets shot by the Libyans, and Marty cries out NOOooo!
You can feel his pain.

I think the scene in Steel Magnolia's when Sally Field, Dolly Parton, Shirley McClain, & Olympia Dukakis are walking after Sally Fields' daughter (Julia Roberts) has just died and she is describing the pain of losing her daughter and how a parent should not outlive a child. It showed pain, anger, frustration, questioning life, love, friendship and laughter all in one.

others are gonna say the same as me, the end of Titanic, youll know which im on about (raft).

pulp fiction. The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who in the name of charity and good will shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee.
CLASSIC

The very end of 'Carrie', when her hand shoots upout of the ground - SCARY! - when I first saw it, the entire cinema jumped with fright!

Well i was gonna say the beginning of Saving Pvt.Ryan but someones already said that.

So my most memorable scene is The Godfather "Im going to make him an offer he can't refuse."

The death scene in 'Crouching tiger, hidden dragon'; when Chow Yun Fat declares his true love after 20 years:-
" I would reather be a ghost; drifting by your side, as a condemmed soul, than to enter the kingdom of heaven without you!"

Failing that, 'ZULU', when the survivors fall back to the redout, and fire by volleys.

Defiance in the face of fearful odds; courage in the face of certain death; the survival of friendship through adversity.

Always gets me!

the most powerful scene that i have seen is in godfather 3 when michaels daughter is shot dead outside the opera theatre. The sound cuts off and you see him screaming on the steps, then the sound returns and you here his soul wrenching cry...That scene is sooo powerful!!!!!!
