Close Encounters? of a third kind..Michael Keaton, Bonnie Bedila(SP?)

it kinda sounds like Close Encounters of the Third Kind but it's been awhile since i've seen that movie so i can't be sure.

I believe the movie you are looking for is "Close Encounters of the Third Kind." Its not classified as a horror though, its in the sci-fi genre. Check out imdb.com and look up the movie above.

Although a mother might find that scene horrifying, the movie is "Close Encounters of the Third Kind." Cary Guffey played the baby who kept calling the aliens "toys!"

It's Close Encounters of the Third Kind. It's not horror... It's Sci FI, althought that sequence I would classify it as horror... that doesn't happen at the beginning of the movie sorry...

It's by Steven Spielberg, and it stars Richard Dreyfuss, Francois Truffait, Teri Garr, etc...

Its soundtrack is amazing...

It received eight Academy Award nominations. Director of Photography Vilmos Zsigmond won the Oscar for Best Cinematography and sound effects editor Frank E. Warner was granted a Special Achievement Award

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment released a 30th Anniversary "ultimate edition" of the film on Blu-ray Disc and DVD on November 13, 2007. This edition features all three cuts of the film — the original 1977 theatrical cut, the 1980 "Special Edition" cut, and the 1998 "Collector's Edition" director's cut. In addition, the Blu-ray edition includes a storyboard-to-scene comparison to the original 1977 Watch the Skies short feature. This set marks the first time that a Spielberg film has been released in high-definition video

Hope that helps!!
