Does anyone agree?!

Question: That all films influence our decisions about society and are a means of social control. E.g. All filmakers can put themselves on the political spectrum - A lot are extreme right and a lot are extreme left. If we watch their films their views are extracted on us.

Do film makers make films according to our needs or theres?

Their needs. Totally. Can't think of a filmmaker yet that is 'straddling the fence.' However, I at times consider those filmmakers decent enough for only kid flicks.

But we're an open society, we can choose to let a director/the media/our parents sway us to formulate our "own" views.

hmm...your rite i think..

What would you make? People write what they know. Sometimes they write what will sell. Publish or perish....

It would normally depend, some other people take it more seriously than others. Film makers possibly making it for theirs and ours, in some ways or others.

I guess that sometimes they do it from how they think would entertain us most or themselves.

I like this question. Like Disney, they always put some sort of moral in their films. The only Disney film I didn't see a moral in was all of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies.

films are a product of society and society is influenced by films. it is a very cyclical pattern. it is impossible to establish which inspired which. do films inspire us to action or do our actions inspire others to create films?
