A lot of movies produced are stupid, it is how Hollywood works: keep spilling out movies and eventually they'll make a classic or a good one.

I haven't seen it yet but I think it looks good.... it's all about what type of movies you like... all people have different taste in movies

Mr. Magorium's Magic Imporium is based on a children's book. Hollywood isn't running out of ideas, they've just been taking books and turning them into films more than they normally do.
Many movies that have come out in the last few years have been based on comic books or books
Spiderman, Fantastic Four, Xmen, Children of Men, the Bourne Series, The Golden Compass (coming Dec), Howl's Moving Castle, The Painted Veil, etc etc it goes on and on.
Most movies you've probably seen are based on books. Especially children's movies like Mr. Magorium. (think madelein, james and the giant peach, matilda, the black cauldron... again it goes on and on).
