So how did you like that Beowulf movie?!
Question: I thought it was an awesome movie. I know that they changed the plot from the original epic poem(which i have read) but it was still an awesome movie. So what do you think of the Beowulf movie.

I thought it was pretty good =) Saw it for extra credit since we just read it in class. I actually thought it was really cool how they changed the plot. A lot of the people I went with said they hated it though because they'd already read the book and it was so different. Could've done without all the nudity though. I couldn't help laughing when they'd block out Beowulf with like a sword or smoke when he was naked xD

I don't care for Scott Baio, so I didn't watch it. Glad he is busy with making movies, rather than moping about being 45 and single.
I thought the special effects were really amazing!
They were even better than that 300 movie! (I couldn't watch that whole thing though...)
The original called Beowolf and Grindle has funnier elements in it though.

Haven't seen it and won't. I HATED the poem. I remember sitting through it in high school. I had an English teacher who adored it. We not only had to read it in English, but sit there and listen to her guttural rendition of the original old English version. I wish I could have that couple hours (over several days) back from my life! I still cringe when I even hear the word Beowulf.
I went to a technical high school that you had to test to get into, so it wasn't that I was not intelligent enough to understand what I was reading, I JUST DIDN'T LIKE IT!
The one made last year starring Gerard Butler was way better.
I had no idea this one was going to be animated, otherwise I wouldn't have seen it. Personally, I thought Beowulf was a jerk and I felt sorry for Grendel. Having seen the above listed version which was said to be closest to the original, I was a little confused in spots where the story was obviously changed. There was something else that I couldn't put my finger on that I didn't like. I'm not a prude by any means but I thought the nudity was excessive.
All that said, it wasn't bad. I have definitely seen worse.
