Whats the film technique to make someone like a ghost?!

Question: I was wondering if anyone knew how to film/edit a scene where someone dies but then walks out of thier body as a ghost looking down to see thier body still on the floor?

put the camera on a tripod to keep it still. make sure it never moves. use remote control on the camera. shoot the actor lying still on the floor (clip A). then shoot the actor getting up and looking at the spot on the floor where he was before.(clip B)

on edit, put clip B on top pf clip A but make it 50% transparent. works best with plain backgrounds.

If you like that sort of thing, you might want to check out a German silent movie, "Destiny" ("Der Müde Tod"), a 1921 work by Fritz Lang. Perhaps you haven't heard of Lang, but you've heard of Hitchcock; Lang was called "the German Alfred Hitchcock."
In those days, they rewound the film in the camera and shot it again. Voila: Ghosts get up and move etherally away.
In "Destiny," a couple is separated by Death -- but Death makes a deal with the woman, whereby she might get her lover back.
Netflix has it, for one.
