Is August Rush and emotional movie? Because my family is making me go and I hate!

wel its about a a kid with a thing for music, his parents where both musicians, and he never saw them, so while he trys to find them, they are doing the same, but i guess it will hav its "emotions" during most parts. but if u like only movies where stuff gets blown up or some monster starts eating everyone, then ur probally going to be bored, but its probally not as boring as u think it is, try it, i heard it had a great cast, and it was a good movie.
I don't understand why you should be forced to go to a movie when you don't want to go, but in any case here is the link to a description of the movie at the Internet movie data base.
http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0426931/ from what I see it looks like a pretty good movie, but yes, it definitely seems that it is quite emotional. I suggest that you read about it. That way you'll be prepared for the emotional parts when they come. But whatever you do, don't spoil it for the others by telling them what's going to happen.
it actually is emotional.. but i thought it was really good! but i don't think you'll like it if your only into comedy and action stuff.. but i mostly went to see it because of the cast.. and i don't see why your even asking the question if you'll have to go see it no matter what..
anyway.. hope you enjoy (not likely though)
