Check this out: How could Lord of the Rings have strong language...?!

Question: These two "review" sites say that LOTR has "STRONG language". That's impossibe because there wasn't even an 'S' word in the film.

Both sites say that there is no use of modern profanity. Strong language implies anything from sexual talk to explicit discussion of violent acts to insults.

I've watched the trilogy 6 times, and I haven't heard even the tiniest hint of dirty language. The worst there is is *some* talk of battle and then drinking...but the worst of that is probably in the extended edition drinking contest between Legolas and Gimli.
