How do I buy a ticket to the cinema?!

Question: I am going to the cinema with a girl in the next couple of weeks, but I rarely go to the cinema and I dont know how to buy tickets at the ticket booths. Do I have to name the screen number and time, or just the film name, state my age, or what? I don't want to look stupid in front of her :D

This is what i have to do in my local cinema

Walk up to the ticket booth and say "hey dude wassup i would like 2* tickets to ________ (state movie) please"

He/she would usally say ok that will be _____ (state amount of $/£)

Then the machine prints the tickets and you walk up to the screen entrance and the guy will say "screen____(state screen) up the hall to your _____ (left/Right)

I hope you have a wonderfull time and enjoy your movie, just act natural infrount of the girl thats what we like and make sure to buy popcorn, cotton candy ect

Good luck x

But your happy to look stupid in front of us?

aww sweetie..you just go up and say 'two tickets for.....whatever the film is called' if your under 16 then you may have to produce id to get a discount off...ie student discount or if your going into a 18 rated film you may need proof your over age! dont forget to treat her to popcorn and a soda!

Agree with Miss xmas!

simple just go to cinema and buy ticket from the kiosk or you can book online just go to your local cinema website like www.cineworld.co.uk good luck

Hi Rich.
i really need to know your age and if you have a credit card for a full answer, but all you need do in simplest terms is -
"Two for Stardust, please" (or whatever film). If you can get cheaper tickets by age or by using Orange mobile, for instance, you will need to point this out also or you will be given the highest price tickets. The teller will print the tickets and tell you the price, you pay, collect and move on.
Enjoy the movie, Steve.

That doesn't say much for your date. Does she know? . . . I mean, does she know with whom she is going to be sharing the evening? . . . Don't you think it's only fair that someone should tell her first?

just say the film title and the time and ask for 2 adult tickets!

First you go to the movies, you want to make shure you get there before the start time to the movie you want to see. You can probley check show times online for the theater near you. Second walk up to the booth and say two for: (the show you want to see) Now if you are under age of 17 and want to see a rated r movie you will need a parent or guardian buy the ticket for you well i hope this info is good enough for you good luck!

????????????????????????????????????????...

Ah, bless your heart. Well, if you live in the UK, you have the option of booking online (www.cineworld.co.uk for example). If you don't want to do that, just check what's on at the cinema first, ask your date if there's anything she'd like to see, and when you get to the ticket desk just say (for example) "Two for "Beowulf" please". If you both qualify for junior prices, then you just say "Two juniors for "Beowulf" please". If there's more than one screening coming up soon, the attendant will ask you what time; then just pick the one you want.

Enjoy!

Aww...bless...well..you go up to the booth, ask for 2 tickets to see whatever film you want to watch and if you look like an adult, they'll automatically give you adults tickets, if not ask for student...and voila!
