Question: it was on quite late 10ish maybe. i didnt see it thats why im asking. anyway my daughter said it was about a kid that didnt know they were dead or something? any ideas? what was the age limit for it too? the reason im asking is i had a babysitter as i was in hospital! please let me know thanks xx

on friday 23rd there was only 1 film on normal tv that evening.
11.35pm bbc1 - copycat (18) about a serial killer and the attempt to catch him. there isnt a kid in it or anything that sounds like your description of the film

That sounds like The 6th Sense although it is Bruce Willis' character who doesn't realize he's a ghost until the end of the movie. The kid who plays opposite Willis (Hallie Joel Osmond) may or may not realize that Willis' character is a ghost, but if he does we are not informed of this because it would spoil the twist at the end.
