A question about star wars 6?!

Question: At the end of the DVD I got Darth Vaders spirit ( originally played by Sebastian Shaw) is replaced with Hayden Christensen( the guy who played Anakin in episode 2 and 3). What the heck is up with that. I'm confused about that.

It maybe doesn't make much sense for continuity because they didn't change Shaw during his death. But when you think about it - it is many years later and his spectral representation is of Anakin as a Jedi...before he was overtaken by the dark side of the Force.

Think about it..Why would he dress up into nice spiffy clean Jedi robes in his progressed age when all he lived in was the black suit? Then they may as well have just suited him up in his full black suit without the helmet in reprieve.

Nobody likes to change a good thing. I can respect that, but if you enjoyed the original versions where Han shoots first and Jabba was just a puppet, then there's tons of original trilogy DVD packs still out on auction... : ) I'm personally open to trying out new ideas so I enjoyed his work in the new versions.

It really does make more sense to represent his Jedi character than the power of the dark side. He doesn't even carry a scar which seems to suit the moment well.

yes in the new dvds they made some changes to match the original trilogy with the new one........this is one of the many changes they made.....nothing to be confused about...

because George Lucas wants to rape your childhood. ;)

All right seriously. iirc Lucas wanted to change that so there's a continuity between the prequel trilogy and the original trilogy. He said that he changed it because that is the spirit of Anakin and not Darth Vader (remember that Darth Vader killed Anakin thing Alec Guiness/Obi Wan discuss with Luke on the beginning of the movie)

For me, it's lame though.

ya after they made the new improved trilogy pack of star wars they added that in, i thought they were kind of stupid for doing that, but in the original movies its not that way

and star wars 4 they add a scene with jabba in it, which makes him look really computer animated not like the 6th one
