it is BASED on a story...the blair witch or something like it is actually a folk tale around some towns...at best an urban legend. the blair witch project is in fact fake although one of the more perfect horror movies (when you think about it its perfect because you get scared, admittedly or not, over something you NEVER see...not even a shadow of it) the story is in fact fake. hence the "mockumentary" genre coupled w/ horror
Supposedly. Personally I did not find it scary at all. Very stupid. A lot of heavy breathing and running around. Made no sense.
