Owing to the number of the ones set in hospitals, probably Carry on Nurse.
But my favourite is Carry on up the Khyber. They couldn't make it today.
Carry on camping is the one I remember best when Barbara Windsor's bra snaps off when doing exercises - nearly took someone's eye out. They were a great laugh, and over the years with such crap movies about, they seem just naughty and daft with a bit of innocence through the innuendo. I will no doubt be watching one at Christmas as my boyfriend loves them as just pure relaxation and a giggle.
It has to be carry on up the Khyber......very cheesy, but very funny.....
For me it has to be Carry on Doctor or from the historical based Carry On it has to be Carry On Cleo.

I think this is about reading the question... 'quintessential' i.e 'the most perfect embodiment of something' ...this doesn't mean the best, thats a different question.. the quintessential carry on is Camping. no contest.
