About 1800** books covering a pretty wide range of topics from hard science to history, engineering to autobiographies, writing guides to books of quotations, science fiction to religion. About the only things that are not in my collection are modern romantic novels and horror,
DVD's - several hundred. Mostly Asian and European movies, documentaries and so on.
** Does not include magazines, government and UN reports etc.

I own around 400 books. They are mixed into catorgories of horor, joke, drama, and mystery. I have a few non-fiction books and about 20 poem books. I have 55 DVDS all of which are funny LOL dvds. I have a couple educational ones and about 5 scary.
i have 5 full book cases of different type of books, and 1 book case full of dvd and videos that will be converted to dvd (when i find the dvd of the movie) In all i would say 120 movies and 400 books.
Personally i have about 500 books equally divided between classics, sci-fi, western, biography, and horror/strange/fantasy. maybe 600 dvd's all kinds.
Hundreds of books, all kinds, but mostly novels.
I only own a few DVDs, I belong to Netflix. I enjoy all kinds, but like indi's the most. Super action is OK, but I like movies about real people. I've watched about three movies per week for the last two years, until recently I do one a week.
Not gonna lie.. I've got about thirty books [Suspensful Genres] and about a hundred DVDs [Comedy, Action, ect.]

315 books. a mix of philosophy/horror and psychology texts
210 DVDs horror mostly, but some others thrown in for good measure (the lake house is my only 'chick flick' though. lol.)
Books.. I've lost count.. I have about 20 boxes in the basement, my closet is stacked full from floor to ceiling and my shelves are stacked as well.. (I am a bookcrosser, so most of the books I have are not read yet.. after I've read them I "leave them in the wild"..i.e: drop them somewhere public for someone to find)
