Should a 15 year old see Schindlers List?!

Question: I saw it before I was 15. It's historically relevant, and I think it's appropriate for someone in high school to see.

go for it! :D its symbolic in many wayss...kinda impacting :D

It's very graphic. I tried to watch it as a teenager and it didn't really keep my interest. Up to the teen and their parents. Unless you are the teen. If you really need to ask then probably not.

i dont see why not.... i was in my sophmore year of high school, that put me at 15, when we did the whole research project on the holocaust. we took the trip to the tolerance museum and everything that year.... we saw the same type of things at the museum that were on that movie... actually come to think of it i think we saw the movie in school too, or something very similar to it... when you compare it to the other sex and violoence on tv, this is nothing! its an educational experiance, but a tough movie to watch. i really think its ok for a 15yr old.

Yes if they want to watch it, especially if they're doing political history for gcse's

There are more violent films, but in its portrayal of violence Schindler's List was probably the most blatant. Usually (you may have noticed) films do not have panning shots over the bodies of people who have been killed, as if from the point of the killer!

However, any child will have heard about the Holocaust already and what the Nazis did from the age of at most 11, probably less, and will be aware on watching the film that it was actually holding back on the most grisly details. So I say let them watch it, they might learn something. Better than most of the crap that's legal for a kid that age, anyway. In the UK, incidentally, the film was given a '15' certificate.
