No. Stephen King is not a good writer. His stuff is poorly written and superficial.
I don't know who is his Hollyweird connection that so many of his bad books are made into unscary movies, but there are a lot more talented and scary writers who deserve a break.
It's all in the eye of the beholder, 'cause I think the movie was superb.
