All of these are serious subjects yet they are humorous, too, whether it's a character, the bizarreness of the situation, how people interact, or whatever other reason there might be. They aren't written as comedies though some have a lighter touch than others. I hope this is what you are looking for. I'll check back to see what others have listed to see if I'm on the right track.
I'm still not certain exactly what you want because I thought that "Stranger Than Fiction" is a comedy. At least it looked that way from the clips I've seen. There are a lot of comedies that are played seriously, so my list could get lengthy.
